It has been a week yesterday, I left for South Padre Island by myself.
I rented a room at Padre South Hotel, room 415, with two balconies, the one facing the ocean is my favorite.
Fourth Floor right corner, incredible view, from the room. It was the first time to stay at the Island, in a Hotel none-the-less. I loved it.
I found this balcony first, side view. I did not go back over here. The room had a refrigerator, stove, dish washer, sink, dishes, it was surprising. With two balconies.
6:53 am, I got a message at 6:00 am the 10th of November, Sarah a high school friend passed away. It was three years the 9th my Son passed.
First night photo on the front balcony, YUK, I do not feel like changing it. The white dot is a ship, or shrimp boat.
This Photo is from the room. It was a hot day, and I am not a Sun person. My eyes are sensitive, and I do not like the scorching heat of South Texas.
South Padre Island, next time my brother comes down, will be the end of January, he is coming down for all our birthdays. I am going to reserve room 415 for my birthday, even for one day, and night.
Twilight, calm ocean, the high tide was interesting, I did not go down there. Anyway I enjoyed my stay, solo. This was a first experience for me. No regrets.
Not even thirty minutes by the water. I enjoyed it more from the room. Captions are not my cup of tea. High tide was inching up.
My view, high tide, it was beautiful. I did not take many photos. I was out on this balcony a lot, fourth floor. I needed Thirty Hours, off, completely.
I took so few Photos. What was the use. It was dark, I missed the full moon, at the island. I got enough of it though. The sound of the ocean, was music in itself.
Another view, well, I needed to Publish something. Since I have been working on this for several hours. I am going to Publish it before midnight.
Sunrise the 10th of November. I got a message at 6 am, that Sarah passed away, a friend from high school. The day before was three years since my Son’s passing. Sad news. RIP Sarah.
89 dollars a night, at the time, I had to say yes, I am so glad I was not stingy with myself. First time to stay at a Hotel, it was now or never. Thirty hours, including the drive, was worth it. Wendy
